Saint Patrick’s Day, or the “Feast of Saint Patrick”, and Irish: “Lá Fhéile Pádraig, the Day of the Festival of Patrick”, is a cultural and religious celebration held on March 17th. Many will celebrate the holiday enjoying parades, Irish music and gathering with loved ones for a traditional feast of Irish specialties such as Stew, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Soda Bread, Corned Beef Hash, Vegetable Shepherd’s Pie, and Chocolate Stout Cupcakes, and St. Patrick’s Day favorites like Spinach Pancakes and Dublin Coddle a mixture of potatoes, onions, sausage, and bacon. Another popular holiday tradition is to wear all things green with Irish-inspired sayings, four-leaf clovers, leprechauns, and a shiny pot of gold!
